Overview

Happiness Gourmets Restaurant, nestled in the heart of Taman Berkeley, Klang, offers a culinary retreat for those seeking authentic Malaysian flavors with a modern touch. This air-conditioned eatery has been thoughtfully refurbished to create a welcoming and comfortable space, making it a favored spot for families, friends, and even business gatherings.

The restaurant’s menu shines with local favorites such as the prawn mee and curry laksa noodle, each dish capturing the essence of traditional recipes while maintaining a refined balance of flavors. Notably, the curry laksa reflects a delightful Nyonya influence, offering a rich and aromatic broth that appeals to those who enjoy a touch of spice combined with creamy notes. The fishball noodle soup maintains its reputation for a clean, flavorful broth, highlighting fresh ingredients without overwhelming the palate.

Happiness Gourmets also stands out for its unique signature chili rice—a comforting dish that delivers a satisfying blend of heat and savoriness, paired perfectly with tender curry chicken or the sours BBQ rice, which showcases a delicate sweetness from the char siu sauce. The baked bread selection, including their well-loved peanut bun and soft half-boiled eggs, complements the meal with simple, comforting bites.

What elevates the dining experience here is not just the food but also the thoughtful service and atmosphere. Customers appreciate the friendly engagement of the owner, who attentively welcomes feedback to ensure quality and consistency. The venue’s soft background music and clean, air-conditioned environment provide a serene escape from Klang’s bustling streets, although parking can be a challenge during peak times.

Patrons consistently highlight the rich soup bases—whether the tomato and evaporated milk-infused fish broth or the bitter gourd rice noodles, which offer a comforting, homestyle taste that keeps visitors returning weekly. The opportunity to customize flavors, such as adding wine essence to the fish noodle broth, speaks to the restaurant’s attention to customer preferences.

For those seeking a genuine taste of Malaysia’s diverse noodle and rice dishes within a comfy and thoughtfully curated setting, Happiness Gourmets Restaurant is a strong contender. It balances traditional recipes with a clean, modern ambiance, making it an inviting destination for anyone craving familiar flavors done well.

My all time favourite dinner here is bitter gourd rice noodles, besides fish head noodles... Been here for many times, at least once a week, a comfy place to have nice meal. I like the soup base very much and its quality has been consistent. The lady boss is very friendly and accepting feedback positively about food taste. Highly recommended.

Ordered the most basic fish noodle and it didn't disappoint at all. The broth is rich and flavourful. You can taste the tomato, salted vege, and the evaporated milk. The best part is the wine provided, you can put as much as you need based on your taste. Prices are reasonable. The premise is clean and comfortable. Highly recommended

Service can be slow as not much worker. Parking can be difficult to find. The menu served for dinner is different (order rice and dishes). Morning served noodle and rice selection. Fish porridge and fish meat mee hoon taste good. Curry chicken rice is too spicy. Air conditioned and comfortable.

Ordered Curry Laksa Fish Head Noodle and prawn noodles, and fish head noodles. Fish was generously given. Curry taste more to Nyoya style, is delicious. Nice atmosphere as very chilling despite outside weather was hot. Oh ya, cendol is worth trying too!

Located in the heart of Berkeley Garden, renovated and refurbished into an air cond eatery. It's comfortable , clean, with soft music wafting through the air. It has a nice ambience for an easy meal with friends, family or business associates. Food is quite good in taste and prices are reasonable. Maybe too much commercial fish cake in their kuey teow.

It’s a normal kopitiam with air conditioning with variety of food offers. Love the prawns fritters with crispiness outside and softness inside. The Nasilemak Pulau Ketam and fish noodles was good except that I prefer it with mixian. They only have Mien Xian noodles. Weekend can be quite packed and noisy. Expect to wait for about half an hour for the food to be served. Price is affordable and staff are friendly. A bit hard to find parking during peak hours.
